My name is Sædís Bauer Halldorsdottir and I am a graduate jeweller from North Bennet Street School in Boston MA, USA. I was born in Reykjavik, Iceland 1968. My studio is located in Reykjavik, Iceland. On my way to become a jeweler I accomplished a College degree in nature science from The college of Breidholt, Iceland and a 2 year education in Art and Design at The Technical College in Hafnarfjordur, Iceland. The year 2007- 2009 I obtained a bench jewelers diploma in jewelry making and repair from North Bennet Street School in Boston, Massachusetts, a school known for it's quality in craftsmanship education. While in school I received an internship training from Melissa Finelli Jewelry and Alan Leavitt Jewelers in Boston and in Iceland I am working for Dyrfinna Torfadottir, master jeweler. I love working with my hands and make one of a kind jewelry that I enjoy and my customers. A jewelry that will last a lifetime and go from generation to a generation. I enjoy everything about art and design and the fact that I have the opportunity to make my ideas come a live in jewelry. Iceland is a big adventure for a designer. I am strongly inspired by the amazing nature and exotic landscapes of Iceland. I explore while I travel, consider the different shapes, sounds and movement of the nature, surrounded by peacefulness, flowers, rocks, birds and the unbeatable aroma of the Icelandic nature. I work with gemstones that come from a certified gem dealer. I also work with Icelandic stones that come from my own collection. I received a quality education in stonecutting and consider my self a good stone setter. I repair jewelry, Design and make new jewelry from scrap (gold, palladium, platinum), Design and make engagement rings and wedding bands with engraving included. Feel free to contact me regarding a commissioned item. Please allow up to 4 weeks in design and making of the new jewelry. I ship the order from Iceland in registered mail.
